In 2025, Gross domestic product <\/strong> showed a moderately positive and broadly homogeneous trend across the country\u2019s macro-regions. GDP growth in volume terms amounted to 0.5% in the North-West<\/strong>, North-East <\/strong>and Centre<\/strong>, while the South and<\/strong> Islands<\/strong> recorded a slightly higher increase (+0.6%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n From a sectoral perspective, the most significant increases in gross value added were observed in Construction <\/strong>in the North-West<\/strong> (+4.1%) and the Centre<\/strong> (+4.0%), and in Trade<\/strong> in the North-East<\/strong> (+2.7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The South and<\/strong> Islands<\/strong> made the largest contribution to national growth, with the number of employed persons<\/strong> increasing by 1.5%, followed by the Centre<\/strong> (+1.1%).
