{"id":125640,"date":"2026-05-06T17:31:54","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:31:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/?p=125640"},"modified":"2026-05-06T17:32:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-06T15:32:02","slug":"a-public-consultation-on-official-statistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/news\/a-public-consultation-on-official-statistics\/","title":{"rendered":"A public consultation on official statistics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion of the centenary of its foundation, Istat is promoting its first-ever <strong>public consultation<\/strong> addressed to all users of statistical data, with the aim of collecting contributions, comments and proposals on knowledge needs not yet met by official statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative, which is purely consultative and non-binding, is a tool for user direct engagement and participation, aimed at strengthening the relevance, quality and usability of official statistics, while promoting transparency and user involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consultation does not focus on data communication or dissemination methods, but on <strong>statistical production<\/strong>: Istat wishes to gather users\u2019 views to assess whether statistics meet real knowledge needs and to guide the future development of statistical production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consultation is open to institutional stakeholders, the scientific community, researchers, journalists, businesses, associations and all interested citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participation is easy: simply fill out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/about-istat\/activities\/istat-100-counting-italy-counting-for-the-future\/public-consultation\/\"><strong>online questionnaire<\/strong><\/a>, select one or more topics of interest and submit your contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consultation is active <strong>until 30 September 2026<\/strong>.
