Data on Italy\u2019s foreign trade with non-EU27 countries in January 2026 are preliminary. The results of the survey on total foreign trade in January 2026 will be disseminated on coming 20 March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In January 2026, exports to non-EU27 countries decreased by 6.0% and imports dropped by 14.0%, compared with the same month of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In January 2026, in seasonally adjusted terms, exports and imports decreased by 1.9% and 3.9% respectively, compared with December 2025. Over the last three months, seasonally adjusted data, compared with the previous three months, showed an increase in outgoing flows of 0.9% and a decrease in incoming flows of 4.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In January 2026, the trade balance with non-EU27 countries registered a surplus of 2,124 million euro compared with a surplus of 370 million euro in January 2025; excluding energy, the surplus was equal to 5,318 million euro, up compared with a 4,947-million-euro surplus in January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
