{"id":14386,"date":"2024-01-25T12:09:45","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T11:09:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/?page_id=14386"},"modified":"2025-02-12T17:34:42","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T16:34:42","slug":"embargo","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/information-and-services-for-users\/journalists\/embargo\/","title":{"rendered":"Embargo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Embargo for the release of complex products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As from April 2024, the embargo procedures applied by the Institute for data dissemination through press releases and other editorial products have been changed in line with Recommendation no.13 resulting from the 2021-23 Peer Review on the implementation of the European Statistics Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, early access to press releases containing short-term economic data has been definitively discontinued as suggested by the \u2018improvement action\u2019 implied by this Recommendation. The embargo practice still applies only to a few non-economic, particularly complex and data-rich products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The procedures currently in force provide that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the case of a book\/volume, it shall be delivered to the newsrooms 24 hours prior to publication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access credentials to preview online products can only be granted on receipt of personal commitment \u2013 sent by email &#8211; to respect the embargo rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Journalists may be invited to embargoed press conferences, during which volumes\u2019 authors illustrate their most important aspects. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In all cases, the press office staff shall monitor the media until the scheduled release time in order to verify compliance with the embargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\r\n\t<section class=\"gblock spacer white-bg  py-0\"  aria-labelledby=\"section-1\"><div class=\"container p-lg-0 block_count_1\" data-blockcount=\"1\"><div class=\"row pb-2\">\t<div class=\"col-12\">\r\n\t\t<div><\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Embargo for the release of complex products As from April 2024, the embargo procedures applied by the Institute for data dissemination through press releases and [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":0,"parent":13582,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-14386","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"wpml_current_locale":"en_US","wpml_translations":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14386","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=14386"}],"version-history":[{"count":8,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14386\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":87651,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14386\/revisions\/87651"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/13582"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=14386"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
