cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In this context, the activities of international cooperation are developed mainly through the Istat\u2019s participation in initiatives that provides for technical assistance by Institute\u2019s experts in projects that are intended to strengthen the statistical systems of third countries , resulting in transfer of knowledge, techniques, concepts, methodologies, classifications and good practices adopted and recognized at international level and by Istat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding sources are mainly bilateral (e.g.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aics.gov.it\/?lang=en\">Agenzia Italiana Cooperazione allo Sviluppo<\/a>) and multilateral (e.g.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/europa.eu\/index_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Union<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since it started the statistical cooperation activities, Istat has collaborated with countries belonging to almost all geographical areas of the world: Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently active projects are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a
