As such, it has recently contributed to the adoption of the first three framework regulations on social, business and agriculture statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Istat monitors Italy\u2019s compliance with the provisions laid down in the European statistical legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it complies with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicheeuropee.gov.it\/en\/legislation\/law-2342012\/\">Law 234\/2012<\/a>\u00a0by undertaking the required formalities through\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicheeuropee.gov.it\/en\/activity\/informing-the-parliament\/\">the contribution<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicheeuropee.gov.it\/it\/attivita\/informazione-al-parlamento\/relazione-annuale-al-parlamento\/relazione-programmatica\/\">Programmatic<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicheeuropee.gov.it\/it\/attivita\/informazione-al-parlamento\/relazione-annuale-al-parlamento\/relazione-consuntiva\/\">Final<\/a>\u00a0Report on the Italian participation in the EU that the Government submits to the Italian Parliament yearly.<\/p>\n<p>Istat monitors the implementation of the European Statistics Code of Practice, as revised by the ESSC in November 2017, whereby, inter alia,\u00a0 principle 1-bis on coordination and cooperation was added.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the European Statistical Law (<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:02009R0223-20150608&amp;qid=1557316580959&amp;from=EN\">Regulation (EC) 223\/2009<\/a>), Italy is also committed, through its Commitment on Confidence (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/id\/2018\/03\/20\/18A01911\/sg\">Art. 4 DPR 31\/01\/2018<\/a>), to the adoption of the necessary measures to ensure public confidence in European statistics.<\/p>\n<p>Istat coordinates the activities at national level for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics as defined in the European statistical program.<\/p>\n<p>Istat has an active part in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/about-istat\/activities\/research\/international-research\/\">research and innovation projects<\/a>\u00a0receiving funds from the EU Framework Programmes and other funding schemes of the European multiannual financial framework. To this respect, the Institute is currently involved as partner in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.growinpro.eu\/\">GROWINPRO<\/a>\u00a0project, within the previous\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/research-and-innovation\/funding\/funding-opportunities\/funding-programmes-and-open-calls\/horizon-2020_en\">Horizon 2020<\/a>\u00a0Framework Programme. Under the same programme, although referring to projects already closed, it is worth mentioning\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanwins.eu\/\">UrbanWins<\/a>, where Istat acted as partner and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.makswell.eu\/\">Makswell<\/a>, where it played the important role of consortium coordinator. Regarding other European funding programmes, Istat participates in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cef-interstat.eu\/\">INTERSTAT<\/a>\u00a0project \u2013 Open Statistical Data Interoperability Framework \u2013 funded by the European Connecting Europe Facility programme. it is a member of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unece.org\/info\/ece-homepage.html\">UNECE<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unece.org\/stats\/ces.html\">Conference of European Statisticians<\/a>\u00a0and of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cepal.org\/en\">ECLAC<\/a>\u00a0(Economic Commission for Latina America and the Caribbean)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cepal.org\/en\/subsidiary-bodies\/statistical-conference-americas\/background-about-executive-committee\">Board<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, it works together with many other international organizations, such as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imf.org\/external\/about.htm\">IMF<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldbank.org\/\">World Bank<\/a>\u00a0and the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/\">\u00a0OECD<\/a>\u00a0(specifically, it is a member of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/webnet.oecd.org\/OECDGROUPS\/Bodies\/ShowBodyView.aspx?BodyID=7229&amp;BodyPID=9781&amp;Lang=en&amp;Book=True\">Committee on Statistics and Statistical Policy<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The Institute also participates in the work of other high-level institutional groups focusing on the harmonization of definitions, concepts, classifications and codifications, methodologies and standards for the production and implementation of international statistics.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for Statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Institute is directly involved in the promotion and implementation of initiatives concerning partnership and international cooperation, in particular for the definition of the strategies necessary for the implementation of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/\">sustainable development objectives<\/a>\u00a0(SDGs) foreseen in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/post2015\/transformingourworld\/publication\">Agenda 2030<\/a>\u00a0and in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unstats.un.org\/sdgs\/hlg\/Cape_Town_Global_Action_Plan_for_Sustainable_Development_Data.pdf\">Cape Town Global Action Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n                                <\/div>\r\n                                                                                <\/div>\r\n                        \t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\r\n\t<section class=\"gblock spacer white-bg  py-0\"  aria-labelledby=\"section-2\"><div class=\"container p-lg-0 block_count_2\" data-blockcount=\"2\"><div class=\"row pb-2\">\t<div class=\"col-12\">\r\n\t\t<div><\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":0,"parent":14071,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-14077","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"wpml_current_locale":"en_US","wpml_translations":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14077","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=14077"}],"version-history":[{"count":6,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14077\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":14091,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14077\/revisions\/14091"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/14071"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=14077"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
