{"id":116651,"date":"2026-01-27T12:55:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T11:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/?page_id=116651"},"modified":"2026-04-15T09:20:42","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T07:20:42","slug":"educational-poverty","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.istat.it\/en\/statistical-themes\/focus\/educational-poverty\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational poverty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Educational poverty is a multidimensional phenomenon resulting from the family and social context in which children and young people live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last decade, the issue of educational poverty has received increasing attention in various academic, political, legislative, and media contexts, highlighting the need for a definition and a set of agreed statistical indicators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, in 2023, Istat established an inter-institutional scientific Commission with the aim of defining and measuring educational poverty and identifying the areas most affected by the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission concluded its work in January 2026.
