Production in the construction sector

The production in construction index provides monthly statistics on output in the sector, referring not only to all new work, but also to repair and maintenance data. The production in construction index is calculated on the base 2015=100.

Due to the rise observed in June, construction output increased in the three-month on three-month time series, despite falling by 0.6% in July 2018.

Compared with July 2017, production in construction increased by 2.6% after adjusting for calendar effect differences.

Construction output also increased by 1.3% during the first seven months of 2018, comparing to the same period in 2017.
