The National Institute of Statistics participates again this year in the Forum PA 2018, the event dedicated to innovation in the Public Administration, to be held at the Roma Convention Center “La Nuvola” in EUR-Rome from 22 to 24 May.
Istat’s presence at Forum PA 2018 is focused on the new Permanent Censuses, the fulcrum of the modernization of the statistical production process at the service of the community. The general characteristics of the new Censuses are illustrated at the Istat stand, in a focus on the permanent census of public institutions, and through in-depth analyses on the main sectors of public administration: education, health, justice and culture, also from non-census sources.
On Wednesday 23 May at 9.30 am, moreover, the Institute will hold the conference “The permanent census of the population and the re-launch of the statistical function on the territory”. The event aims to illustrate the main organizational and methodological innovations that characterize the Permanent Census of population and housing, which, unlike previous ten-year censuses, will offer annual updates. Finally, the conference is intended as an opportunity for reflection and discussion with the main actors involved in the process, to build a virtuous system of partnership that can contribute to the success of census operations.
