Every ten years, the Censuses provide a more detailed snapshot of Italy than any other survey. The surveys guarantee that uniform criteria are used to interpret the territory, allowing for the drafting of targeted and informed policies.
In particular, the Performance of agricultural, population and housing censuses according to shared rules allows us to compare Italian characteristics with those of other European states.
The 6th agricultural Census was launched in October 2010, with preliminary regional and national results to be published from June 2011 onwards. In October 2011, the 15th Population and Housing Census will be performed, and initial results will be published in the spring of 2012. Lastly, the 9th Industry and Services Census will be performed on September 10, 2012.
