The seasonally adjusted confidence indicator increased to 99.6 in February (from 98.5 in January). The improvement in confidence was due to more favourable expectations on the economic situation.
The index by sector worsened in Transportation and storage (to 108), in Tourism services (to 101.4) and Information and communication (to 94.8); the indicator improved instead in Business services and other services (to 96).
On a regional basis, confidence improved in the North East (to 100.3), in the Centre (to 105.2) and in the South (to 103.8) but declined in the North West (to 93.2).
