Contractual wages and salaries

At the end of October 2010 the coverage rate (share of national collective agreements in force for the wage setting aspects) was 62.3 per cent in terms of employees and 59.3 per cent in terms of the total amount of wages.

In October 2010 both the hourly wage index and the per employee index were unchanged compared to the previous month. Compared October 2009 both the hourly wage index and the per employee index increased by 1.5 per cent. During period January-October 2010 compared to the same period of previous year both the hourly wage index and the one per employee increased by 2.2 per cent.
