Confidence of manufacturing and construction enterprises

In May the seasonally adjusted confidence indicator in manufacturing worsened to 86.2 from 89.1 in April. Assessments on order books and production expectations worsened, inventories increased. Differences emerged at sectorial and geographical levels.

In May the seasonally adjusted confidence index in construction fell to 81.8 from 83.7 in April. Assessments of order books improved (balance from -46 to -45), while employment expectations worsened (the balance from -13 to -19).
