On 26 and 27 January 2012 Istat will host in Rome the kick-off meeting of the EU 7th Framework Programme (FP7) Project e-Frame European Framework for Measuring Progress.
The event officially opens the 30 months activities of the project tailored on the need to go beyond GDP as a measure of well-being of people and societal progress.
The project financed by the European Commission- DG Research and Innovation, with a contribution of EUR 1.495.065, aims at further developing on-going debate on how to measure well-being and progress among all relevant stakeholders and to strengthen the relevance of measures and analysis for addressing key policy issues by providing a European framework for the debate and developing a European network on progress measurement.
e-Frame Consortium is a strong group articulated in 5 activity "tanks": 4 NSIs ((ISTAT-Italian National Institute of Statistics, CBS-Statistics Netherlands, ONS-Office for National Statistics, INSEE- Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques) , 7 Universities (UT-Trier, UNISI-Siena, UNIPI-Pisa, RuG- Groningen, UNIVPM-Politecnica delle Marche, UoB- Birmingham, UM- Maastricht), 2 Civil Society Organisations (YOUNG- The Young Foundation, NEF- The new economics foundation), 5 Research Centres (CFMR-Centre for Financial and Monetary Research of Romanian Academy, FEEM- Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, GESIS-Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, OFCE-Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Economiques, ZEW-Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung) and the International Organisation OECD.
