Turnover in other services

Indices of turnover in other services measure the quarterly change recorded in sales, at current prices, by firms belonging to a subset of the entire domain. Since the first quarter of 2009 the indices have been calculated with reference to the base year 2005 using the new Ateco 2007 classification (Italian edition of Nace Rev. 2).

In the second quarter of 2011, compared with the first quarter, the seasonally adjusted index of turnover increased by  2.4% in Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, by 1.5% in Wholesale trade (except of motor vehicles and motorcycles), by 1.1% in Information and communication  and by 0.8% in Postal and courier activities. A decrease has been recorded in Water transport (-0.3%) and Air transport (-0.2%).

With respect to the same quarter of 2010 the turnover index increased by 6.6% in Air transport, by 6.5% in Wholesale trade (except of motor vehicles and motorcycles), by 4.4 in Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and by 0.1% in Information and communication.  Water transport and Postal and courier activities decreased by 4.8 and by 3.5%.
