Survey on museums and other cultural institutions: public use micro.stat files

The census survey is carried out by Istat, the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
Collected data describe over 4,500 institutes, born mostly in recent times, spread over the national territory and greatly varied depending on the type of collection (museums, galleries, archaeological sites and park, monuments and historic buildings), dimensions, forms of management, activities and services offered.
